Sunderland have announced the signing of Alfred N’Diaye from Bursaspor for an undisclosed fee. The 22-year old defensive midfielder who can also play at centre back has signed a three and a half year deal at the Stadium of Light.
The France Under-21 international began his career at French Ligue One side Nancy before moving to Turkey in 2011.

"Alfred is a strong, powerful young player and as such can offer us more strength in depth," Sunderland manager Martin O’Neill told the club website. “He will give us options and I’m delighted that we have been able to bring him to the club.”

Bio je jedan od najboljih i najkonstantnijih igrača Burse koja ove sezone dobro kotira. Konstantno je napredovao od dolaska iz Francuske, te uz Beluschia igrač koji je držao sredinu terena Burse. Najviše mu odgovara uloga zadnjeg veznog, iako može igrati i nešto isturenije bliže protivničkom golu. Za sada Bursa 6. sa 24 boda što i nije loš rezultat u nikad jačoj ligi i sa obzirom da je ovo jedna od zdravijih sredina - jedan od rijetkih turskih klubova koji posluje u plusu. Vjerovatno je i ovaj odlazak Alfreda došao zbog osvježavanja budžeta, ipak je to klub koji tako posluje i na taj način se 'održava u životu'. Ne znam, možda je i njegova želja bila da pređe sa obzirom da je on vjerovatno prelazak iz Francuske u Tursku doživio kao korak unazad i želi nove izazove, iako ponavljam konstantno je napredovao i stasao već sada u pravog igrača uz Batalu, Sestaka, Pinta itd. Dakle, igrač sredine terena, uglavnom igra na poziciji zadnje veznog i mislim da je ovo ciljano pojačanje O'Neilla, te da će se uspjeti snaći u Engleskoj jer vjerovatno neće na njega biti većeg pritiska, a to mu ide u prilog. Cijena je također realna njegova vrijednost, možda je Sunderland iskeširao nešto više zbog toga što je transfer došao u januaru, a i Bursa sada mora u potragu za njegovom zamjenom.

Reports in Italy are again claiming AC Milan are refusing to give up on their pursuit of Newcastle defender Davide Santon. It has been suggested Santon's agent will travel to England to hold talks with Newcastle to discuss the full-back's future. It is claimed that Milan want Santon to replace Ignazio Abate, who is being strongly linked with a move to Zenit.

The agent of Inter Milan winger Philippe Countinho suggested earlier on Thursday that Aston Villa had enquired as to the availability of his client. Villa have now sought to distance themselves from such reports.

Everton are one of a number of clubs interested in Brazilian full-back Fernando Marcal, his agent has confirmed.
