Imala je cini mi se odredjenih poteskoca u kretanju u trecem setu...sto je Radwanska znala iskoristiti...i odlicnom igrom...kojom neodoljivo podsjeca na Simona uspjela je doci do drugog finala ove godine...treba istaci da je Azarenka ponovo pokazala svoj borbeni duh...spasila je 3 MP...i u nastavku seta bila u prilici da dodatno zakomplikuje stvari...ali s par nepotrebnih drop shotova ipak izgubila 6-2...

Mnogo mi je žao ,a i meni se čiilo da je imala određene poteškoće sa kretanjem,uglavno znamo kako igra Radwanska ona konstantna i ako ti malo nisi na nivou neša se šta nadati ,Simon dva u ženskom tenisu je Radwanas ,uglavnom bit će bolje po Azarenku ,samo se treba još malo više spremit za naredni turnir.

TOKYO, Japan – 9 seed Radwanska upset 3 seed Victoria Azarenka in the second semifinal of the day, 63 46 62. Radwanska looked on her way to a straight set victory as she led 63 42 but Azarenka caught fire, winning four games in a row to push the match to a third set; Radwanska once again had trouble closing Azarenka out in the decider, missing out on her first three match points, but she closed it out on her fourth.

Vika will now travel to Beijing for the China Open.

TOKYO, JAPAN – Victoria Azarenka has qualified for the prestigious TEB-BNP Paribas WTA Championships, which will be hosted at the state of the art Sinan Erdem Arena in Istanbul, Turkey. She joins World #1 Caroline Wozniacki and three-time Grand Slam champion Maria Sharapova who already secured their trip to Istanbul.

The WTA’s year-end finale, to be held in Istanbul through 2013, will feature the world’s top eight singles players and top four doubles teams competing for the coveted title and a share of the $5 million in prize money. The WTA is working closely with partner Turkish Tennis Federation to ensure that this season’s year-end finale in Istanbul is the best in its history.

“At the start of the year, reaching the Championships is one of the goals you’re aiming for and so I’m really happy to be playing there. I’ve already been to Istanbul to see the site, so I’m excited that I’ve managed to qualify and get back there to play. I think it’s one of the hardest events because you have to play right away against the top players, there’s no match where you can get comfortable,” said Azarenka.

After capturing back to back titles at the Sony Ericsson Open (Miami) and the Andalucía Tennis Experience (Marbella), and finishing as a runner-up at the Mutua Madrid Open and reaching her first Grand Slam semifinal at Wimbledon, Azarenka has risen to a career-best ranking of World No.3, the highest singles ranking ever achieved by a Belarusian. 2011 will mark the 22-year-old’s third successive appearance at the Championships, where she is yet to advance past the round-robin stage. Azarenka is also in the running to qualify for the doubles competition with partner Maria Kirilenko of Russia.

No.2 seed Victoria Azarenka is into the last 16, surviving a set point in the first set tie-break then comfortably moving past Polona Hercog, 76(8) 63. Azarenka battled back from 3-5 in the first set and was a point away from losing the set at 7-8 in the tie-break, but kept cool and eventually got the win, despite some big serving from Hercog – the Slovenian fired 11 aces.
Važno je da je ona prošla Hercog ,a suta je nova prepreka Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova......ja se nadam da će i nju proći...idemo Vika...

se mora da je opet neka povreda sa Viktorijom.. Steta..

No.13 seed Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova made the quarters when No.2 seed Victoria Azarenka withdrew due to a right foot injury.

“It’s disappointing,” Azarenka said. “I’m sorry to the fans. I was hoping my foot would be okay, but it has been bothering me since Tokyo. I’m not sure about recovery time but I will consult my doctor. I hope to be back for Luxembourg.”
Ovo je obajvila na svom sajtu ,znači povreda desnog stopla ,nadam se da će se brzo oporaviti....

I ja se nadam malo malo pa je muce povrede nedeljama unazad vec..

Ma bit će to ok ....neka se ona fino odmori i kad se povreda bude snirala neka se da vježbanju...

Mislim da Azarenka je imala odličnu ovu sezonu samo onaj start kako je igrala odlično,nadam se da neće ova povreda imati toliki utjecaj na dalje igranje tenisa kako do kraja sezone tako i na početku sljedeće....Barem se nadam

LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg – Top-seeded Victoria Azarenka played her first match since a right foot injury took her out of Beijing, and won the final four games to get past Barbora Zahlavova Strycova, 62 64.

“In the second set I made more mistakes and she got into the match,” Azarenka said. “She’s the kind of player who always makes you hit an extra shot. I’m glad that I was able to get back in the second set and not give it away and prolong the match.”
