Here's the most remarkable thing to me about Federer: Seems to me that the more you know about tennis, the more amazed you are by the guy. If you know nothing at all about tennis, he's amazing. If you know a little something about tennis—maybe you have played a few times in your life—he's more amazing. If you know a little more about tennis—maybe you played in high school and once had illusions of becoming a pro—he's even MORE amazing. And if you were a great player—if you are a McEnroe or a Connors or a Jim Courier—then Federer is preposterously amazing

Zasto se u tenisu ne koristi racunanje trajanja efektivne igre? Znam da se nesto tako racunalo u odbojci nekad..
Mislim, ti mecevi od po 4-5 sati su, ustvari, mnoooogo kraci ako se racuna samo vrijeme same igre. Negdje sam procitao kako ide racunica, kaze: na sljaci efektivna igra iznosi 20 do 30% ukupnog traanja meca, dok je na brzim podlogama (beton i trava) efektivna igra svega 10 do 15%. Znaci, ako su na Wimbledonu igrali 5 sati, oni su, zapravo, igrali tenis svega pola sata do 45 minuta.

Tako je, lateralne kretnje, stalne promene pravca, kombinovano sa mentalnim umorom, jer mora da se miksuje igra što je moguće češće, preciznost, jačina udaraca. Nema da se sakriješ iza nekog drugog, sve zavisi samo od tebe.
