    Introduction:
    Built in 1986 and hosting its first Grand Prix one year later, the circuit of Jerez is now one of the most popular MotoGP venues and the focal point for a city fanatical about sport. Set in a slight valley in the south of Spain, Jerez is blessed with consistently good weather and beautiful scenery, its numerous grandstands providing the perfect viewing facilities for up to 250,000 spectators.


    With two alternative road circuits (4,423m and 4,428m), which were resurfaced during 2005, Jerez is a popular venue used by many race teams for testing throughout the year, whilst its recently updated corporate and media facilities have proven to be a popular addition to the complex. Other facilities such as the control tower and pit boxes have also been vastly improved.

            This Sunday at Jerez should see Valentino Rossi become only the third person in motorcycle grand prix history to clock 200 premier-class starts.

            A former 125 and 250cc world champion, Rossi made his premier-class debut in the opening 500cc race of the 2000 season at Welkom in South Africa. He has since won seven titles and a record 79 races.

            This year is Rossi's 13th in the premier-class and, although without a win since leaving Yamaha for Ducati at the end of 2010, the Italian still has the fifth longest winning career.

            A gap of 10 years and 93 days separates his first victory in the 500cc class at Donington Park in 2000 and his most recent MotoGP win in Malaysia 2010.

            Alex Barros, Phil Read and Giacomo Agostini and Loris Capirossi had longer winning careers in the premier-class, but if Rossi (33) takes another victory he would set a new record.

            The following table shows the ten riders who have made most premier-class (500cc/MotoGP) starts:

                Nesto o cemu sam pricao kad je proslo potpisivanje s Ducatijem, da ce mozda vratiti superbike team na mapu

                      Auh kakav trening...
                      Bice to borba Pedrose i Lorenza do poslednje krivine, ne vidim kako moze Stoner da se ukljuci u tu borbu, ova staza mu nikako ne lezi.
                      Svaka cast za Haydena, treca pozicija na Ducatiju, ispred Stonera... i ispred Rossija, koji kasni 3.5sec za Lorenzom i 2.5sec za Haydenom. Prosto neverovatno, na istoj masini Hayden toliko ispred Rossija, meni dovoljan dokaz da Ducati moze vise i da jednostavno ne lezi Rossiju...
                      I da pohvalim De Puniet-a, 10. pozicija na CRT Aprilii, stvarno svaka cast, vec je pobedio 3 prototipa, medju kojima je i Rossi

                      Naravno ako sutra bude kisa, mogao bi Rossi do samog vrha, tesko, ali moguce...

                        Sto reci za Rossia bez da se nije ni potrudio. Katastrofalno stanje u njegovoj glavi.

                          Mnogo dobre kvale,sutra ce se za bobedu boriti Pedrosa i Lorenco,ali ako pada kisa moze biti svega.Na pola treninga je malo pocela da pada kisa,tada je Kraclou vodi i da je nastavila on bi bio na polu.Stoneru ne lezi staza.Ali najvece iznenadjenje je De Punije,znaci 10. pozicija ispred tri prototipa...

                            Malo cudan trening. Mislim da nisu bas realna vremena vec u principu ko se bolje snasao i brze pronasao podesavanja. Bez obzira, videcemo sutra u trci sta ce biti pogotovo ako bude kisa...

                              dobar Rossi , mnogo bolji nego u qataru sutra ocekujem pobjedu jedino ako padne kisa onda tek ocekujem medju prva tri mjesta a ako bude suho prvo mjesto zagarantovano ;)
